Uridium 2 CD32

Uridium 2, one of the Amiga’s finest and hardcorest shoot ‘em ups, never quite made it to the CD32 console. A real shame since it was set to feature improved graphics and an all-new CD soundtrack. Now, thanks to some prodding from Heavy Stylus and clever hackery-pokery by musashi5150, a CD32 version is at last available.

I’ve released an updated WHDLoad patch for an Amiga game that nearly wasn’t, Expose’s platformer No Buddies Land. This release updates the installer script and fixes a lurking access fault in one of the Synthdream module replay routines. Credit is again due to Don Adan of Wanted Team for helping identify and explain the problematic sections.

The patch fixes the usual collection of keyboard, blitter and access fault problems, removes the copy protection and, for registered WHDLoad users only, adds trainer options. Two versions are supported, the original commercial release and the Super Quintet compilation release. Other “cracked” ADF versions may work but have not been tested and are not supported.

I’m still searching for two rare compilation versions of Warlock’s Quest as below:

I’ve released an updated WHDLoad patch for Kingsoft’s gravity cave fighter, Gravity Force.

The patch fixes a logic bug where the high scores are not saved if you didn’t use any of the cheats the patch provides, instead of not saving if you did use cheats. Thanks go to daxb for finding and reporting this problem.

gravity force whdload 1.00 released

I’ve released a new WHDLoad patch for Kingsoft’s gravity cave fighter, Gravity Force.

The patch fixes the usual collection of keyboard, blitter and access fault problems as well as adding the (equally usual) trainer and anti-copy-protection options. Two versions are supported, the original commercial release (which seems to be very rare!) and the more common PD release. Other “cracked” ADF versions may work but have not been tested and are not supported. In addition, registered WHDLoad users can use the second fire button to fire the ship’s weapons.

Download the patch, instructions and pre-installed image from girv dot net or from the Official WHDLoad Website.
