games, geek, movie, retro, tron January 9th, 2011Disney’s Tron: Legacy, sequel to 1982′s Tron, has a number of references to the original movie and other geek culture. There’s the Tron poster and bed linen, an arcade full of 1980′s games cabinets, WarGames quote, classic computers, an original Light Cycle and ornaments of Bits to name a few.
But did you catch the 8-bit gaming easter egg in the Disc War arena?

Check the names of the programs doing battle: it’s only Sabre Wulf vs. Manic Miner!
Proof indeed, as if any were needed, that those old games programs have still got it.
